Acer recently re-launched a new version of the Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3 laptops. The Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3 are equipped with the latest 12th generation Intel Core processors. Apart from that, this laptop also includes several upgrades from the previous model.
Acer Swift 5 Screen
For the screen, the latest Swift 5 has a screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600. The higher aspect ratio not only helps with vertical content such as documents and websites but also helps eliminate the thickness of the bottom bezel that was on its predecessor with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The dual-tone aluminium body also gives it a more premium look.
And this new Acer Swift 5 Laptop model includes a 12-core CPU, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The laptop also meets Intel Evo specs for 10 hours of real battery life and fast charging that delivers 4 hours for a 30-minute recharge. Two Thunderbolt 4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and HDMI 2.1 also offer solid connectivity.
This laptop is heavier than its predecessor, with a weight of 1.2 kg. But maybe users won’t mind the upgraded cooling system (improved twin fans and D6 heat dissipation pipes), low-noise 1080p webcam, and a trackpad made of marine plastic debris.
While the Acer Swift 3 laptop has a more modest upgrade, you have to be satisfied with the 16:9 aspect ratio screen with a resolution of 1080p or 1440p and a size of 14 inches. However, users can have up to 2 TB of SSD storage space, 30 minutes of fast charging, and a mix of USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI 2.1 ports.
For its presence, Acer will present the Acer Swift 5 and Swift 3 in June. While for the price of $ 1,499 for the Swift 5 and $ 850 for the Acer Swift 3.
