AirPods Pro 2 is rumoured to be launching in 2022. The news just came out from the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The information reveals the launch time as well as the upcoming new features, which have never existed in the previous series. This is lossless audio support.

As for the design, last year’s AirPods Pro 2 rumours only shared a new design, where the device probably won’t have a trunk. Similarly, reports say the AirPods Pro 2 will include some sort of health tracking feature.
Entering 2022, new information reveals that this TWS from Apple will support lossless audio. It’s a technology impossible to apply to Apple’s wireless earphones or headphones, be it AirPods or Beats.

And Lossless audio is a file compression that retains all the original data of the audio file, thereby enhancing the listening experience. However, lossless audio requires more storage on the device or streaming using Apple Music which already supports lossless audio, will consume more data.
However, the need for increased bandwidth is also an issue for wireless earphones like the AirPods Pro 2. Bluetooth must be able to handle data transfers, and this is an issue that Apple Acoustic vice president Gary Geaves has highlighted.
But with reports that the AirPods Pro 2 support lossless audio, could Apple have already addressed the issue? Or is Apple planning on using a new wireless standard? We still have to wait for official confirmation from the company.
