Boe Foldable AMOLED 17.3 inch launch, design and screen

Boe recently re-launched their newest foldable laptop product, the 17.3-inch Boe Foldable AMOLED. The 17.3-inch Boe Foldable AMOLED was present at the Society for Information Display (SID) exhibition in San Jose, USA. It was also attended by several companies, including Samsung, Visionox, and TCL showing off their best screen technology.

For the screen, the 17.3-inch Boe Foldable AMOLED is the first and largest folding screen in the world of its kind, and it really captivated the visitors who attended the event. This 17.3 Foldable AMOLED display features a 100% DCI-P colour gamut and ultra-slim bezels. This screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio and offers a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels. And the Boe F-OLED display is also supported with 10 bit RGB and HDR500.

Using the F-OLED display, this is the only flexible OLED technology solution from BOE. This 17.3-inch Foldable AMOLED screen comes in several forms, such as full-screen displays, folding screens, and rollable screens. It can be integrated with several features such as under-display fingerprint recognition, under-display camera, and biometrics. Therefore, open a new world of flexible screens.

And the company claims that this new F-OLED display will be supplied exclusively to Asus for the launch of its ZenBook 17-Fold OLED laptop later this year. BOE also won the award for Best Technology Demonstration for their 17.3-inch foldable OLED display.

In addition, the company from BOE also displayed the world’s largest 95-inch 8K OLED screen at the exhibition. The screen also uses high-end TFT technology and a white OLED vapour deposition process. It provides pixel-level light management and maximum HDR image quality, demonstrating the company’s technology advantages in large OLED displays.

And there are also several companies also splashing out on the designs, namely TCL revealing some impressive display technologies. This TCL features a 34-inch WQHD R1500 curved Mini LED display specially designed for e-sports. This Mini LED screen offers an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio, a high refresh rate of 165 Hz, and a fast response for minimal motion blur.
