Google has officially released its newest product, the Pixel 5A 5G phone, after several leaks appeared recently. The Pixel 5A 5G first appeared to be revealed in April, but that’s just a rumor. The Google Pixel 5A 5G comes with several improvements over the Pixel 4A 5G. These upgrades include a slightly larger screen, a new battery, and an IP67 water resistance rating.

Design
Judging from the design, the Pixel 5A features a 6.34-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate support. There is no support for a 90 Hz refresh rate, as rumored. This phone uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset which provides 5G features. This processor is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
On the back of the Pixel 5A 5G, there is a dual camera consisting of a 12.2 MP main camera and a 16 MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, the front camera has a resolution of 8 MP, which is located in the upper left punch hole of the screen. There is also a physical fingerprint sensor on the back.

This Pixel 5A 5G uses the Android 11 operating system and is guaranteed three years of OS updates and security patch support. The battery has a capacity of 4,680 mAh, which Google claims can last up to 1 full day in normal use. If Extreme Battery Saver mode is enabled, it can last up to 2 days on a single charge.
This smartphone only supports wired charging and is shipped with an 18W charger in the sales package. Google says this will be the last Pixel phone to ship with a charger in the box, apparently for environmental reasons like Apple and Samsung do. The Google Pixel 5A 5G will be on sale in Japan and America starting at a price tag of $449.
