Leica launches the latest retro-styled camera in the M series. This camera is the M11 which retains the overall look of its predecessor but comes with advanced new sensor technology, a high-resolution touch panel, large battery.
The Lecia M11 camera features a new 60 MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor. And the combination of the Maestro III image processing engine enables what Leica calls Triple Resolution Technology. Photographers can choose RAW or JPG format to record at 60 MP, 36 MP, or 18 MP while continuing to make optimal use of the sensor area.
And the camera is equipped with other key specifications, including a dynamic range of 15 stops light sensitivity of ISO 64 to ISO 50,000. The m11 is claimed to have an electronic shutter speed of up to 1/16,000 seconds. The camera is also equipped with a new set of colour filters to promise better colour reproduction. This camera comes with 64 GB of internal storage and can be added again via SD card media. It can also simultaneously save files to both storage locations.
For the screen, the Lecia M11 Camera has a 2.3 million-dot touch screen behind the camera that supports the sRGB colour gamut and produces a brightness of up to 800 nits. There are also physical controls that can control so as to increase efficiency and ergonomics. This camera, of course, does not use an electronic viewfinder (EVF). However, you can use the optional Visioflex 2 EVF, which offers a resolution of 3.7 million dots.
