Optoma, a Taiwanese projector company, has recently launched their newest 4K laser projector, the Optoma UHZ50 projector. Optoma uhz50 projector Performance
For performance, the Optoma UHZ50 Projector is claimed to be capable of producing 4K resolution with a 1080p projector panel and Optoma’s True 4K pixel-shifting technology. This allows quickly changing the position of the chip to fill the image with a full resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.
And the projection is focused through a 1.3x manual zoom lens featuring a vertical shift of 10& and a sheet ratio of 1.21:1 to 1.59:1. There’s also keystone correction and warp control to help get the image to fit the screen and its mounting position.
Optoma has equipped the UHZ50 with three HDMI 2.0 ports (one of which supports eARC). There is a USB port for media playback from external storage. Audio output options can be via the 3.5mm port or S/PDIF, but there is also an integrated speaker with a total power of 20 watts.
Despite the lack of HDMI 2.1 technology, Optoma has positioned this as a great projector for gaming with screen sizes up to 200 inches and claims very low input lag. This projector has a response time of 4.2 ms for 1080p games at up to 240 Hz and a response time of 16.7 ms at 4K 60 Hz. It does not miss HDR10 and HLG support and features a motion processing system, so it looks smooth.
Without an external HDMI source, the UHZ50 can still be used. This is because the scope of the smart platform is integrated with a selection of applications and streaming services. Users can also transmit content from mobile phones. Pricing for the Optoma UHZ50 retails for $2,799
