POCO recently re-launched their latest smartphone product, the POCO M4 Pro 5G. And Poco has officially split from Xiaomi but, for the most part, continues to be nothing more than a sub-brand. With that said, the offerings are usually rebranded Xiaomi/Redmi smartphones running the same software, albeit with a few minor tweaks. The upcoming POCO M4 Pro 5G is one such smartphone, and we’ve listed everything there is to know ahead of its launch on November 9.
Design
For its design, the POCO M4 Pro 5G is claimed to use the same body as the recently launched Redmi Note 11. There are some minor changes that indicate that this is a unique model. The camera module appears to have been extended to cover the entire width of the phone for a more stylish look. This extension features great POCO branding. Fans will easily notice that the back resembles last year’s POCO M3.
And this smartphone is equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD panel that delivers FHD + resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The top edge of the M4 Pro 5G has a microphone, IR blaster and speakers. The bottom edge has another microphone, a USB-C port, and a second speaker assembly. For the front side, the screen has a punch hole placed in the middle at the top and is supported by a rather thick chin at the bottom.
POCO M4 Pro 5G Performance, Price, Release Date
For performance, the POCO M4 Pro 5G Smartphone is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset – the latest launch was carried out using the 6nm process. And this POCO is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Storage will likely be UFS 2.2. Apart from this, the device will likely come with the same list of features as the Redmi Note 11.
And MIUI 13 hasn’t debuted yet, and Android 12 is still undergoing testing for eligible Xiaomi and Poco phones. Thus, it is very likely that the POCO M4 Pro will come with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11.
As for the rear camera on the POCO M4 Pro 5G, it looks like it houses more cameras than it actually does. There is a separate aperture for the AI-only logo, which may look like another camera from a distance. In reality, the phone has a dual-camera setup – a 50MP main shooter and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. The camera on the front has a resolution of 16 megapixels.
The POCO M4 Pro smartphone will come in three RAM and storage options, namely 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 128GB. Colour variants will include gray and yellow options. As for the price, it will be similar to the Redmi Note 11, $187. And the November 9 release date has been officially announced.
