Ricoh recently launched their newest product, the Ricoh GR IIIx camera. Ricoh GR IIIx is a compact digital camera that is expected to have the latest features and is equipped with the newly developed 40mm f/2.8 GR (35 mm equivalent) lens.
Judging from its design, this GR IIIX camera provides an angle of view that is more similar to the photographer’s own vision, which according to the company, has been done with a 26.1 mm f/2.8 GR lens on an APS-C format CMOS sensor. So it becomes 40mm on 35mm full-frame format. Ricoh says, depending on how the lens is used, the angle of this lens can give different results.

The newly designed optics are made of 7 elements in 5 groups and incorporate two aspherical optical elements at what Ricoh has determined to be the most effective position in an effort to reduce distortion. And chromatic aberration while effectively minimizing the incidence of flare and ghosting when shooting backlights.
This GR IIIX camera lens is claimed to be able to focus as close as 12 cm from the front of the lens and is equipped with an ND filter that reduces light by two stops. Ricoh says that its 9-blade aperture mechanism creates a natural bokeh effect with f/2.8.
Then behind this camera, there is a lens that has a 24.4 MP resolution sensor with 3-way stabilization. This stabilization system shifts the image sensor to handle horizontal and vertical shaking by four stops. This GR IIIX camera also features a Ricoh AA Filter Simulator (anti-aliasing), which applies microscopic vibrations with sub-pixel precision to the image sensor unit during exposure which Ricoh says provides the same level of moire reduction as optical AA filters.

Furthermore, the Ricoh GR IIIx camera lens is equipped with a 3-inch LCD monitor. This screen has 1.037 million dots which can display images quite smoothly.
