XPG has launched their newest laptop product, the XPG Xenia 14. The XPG Xenia 14 is a thin and light laptop dubbed the “Lifestyle Ultrabook” by the company and is aimed at professionals, students, and casual gamers. Our configuration is powered by an 11th Gen Intel “Tiger Lake” CPU, 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Overall, this laptop is impressive, although not the gaming notebook that the XPG brand and Xenia family suggest.

In terms of design, this XPG Xenia 14 Laptop One of the things that remains consistent in every XPG laptop is a neat and compact design, which is one of the strongest selling points of the Xenia 14. Weighing 0.5 by 12 by 8 inches (HWD) ) and at just 2.14 pounds, the Xenia 14 is one of them. Of the lightest 14-inch laptop available, thanks to its magnesium alloy chassis. That airy material gives the laptop a soft feel, indeed bordering on the flimsy territory. The top panel is particularly worrying, bouncing back and forth from even the slightest chassis shake.
And the Xenia 14 is also equipped with a full HD 16:10 IPS display with a 400-nit, 1,920-by-1,200-pixel resolution, great for watching movies, viewing photos, and playing games. The ultra-thin 2mm bezel offers a 92% screen-to-body ratio, which helps give the laptop a sleek look. You’ll find a 720p webcam tucked into the top of the screen with Windows Hello support, for those who like to use their face to unlock their laptop in lieu of a password.

For the performance of this XPG Xenia 14 laptop. Combined with PCI Express 4.0 512GB SSD and 16GB DDR4 3,200MHz RAM, the Intel Core i7-1165G7 equips itself well, offering fast performance when opening multiple tabs, taking calls via Zoom, and working on multiple documents.
On the other hand, the laptop is easy to open and upgrade, with two SO-DIMM RAM slots and two M.2 slots (one PCIe Gen 3, one PCIe Gen 4) that are easy to access once you open the bottom case. And this laptop is not equipped with a port and even includes a Thunderbolt 4 port, which XPG says will allow users to connect up to three monitors at once. In addition to the Thunderbolt 4 port, on the right side, users will also find HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 Type-A ports. The left side includes a USB 3.0 Type-A port and a USB 3.1 Type-C port, as well as an SD card reader, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a Kensington lock notch.
For connectivity, the laptop is equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 and wireless Wi-Fi 6, which gives the portable machine some real connectivity advantages, especially when dealing with multiple wireless devices. You’ll find the same features set up in a slightly cheaper configuration, too, albeit with an Intel Core i5-1135G7, another Tiger Lake processor with a slightly slower clock speed.
This puts the Xenia 14 ahead of its competitors in several categories. It’s lighter than the Razer Book 13, Acer Swift 5, and even the Dell XPS 13 (9310), and it’s among the best port mixes.
Price
While the Xenia might look good on paper, nothing matters if it can’t work. Thankfully, the Xenia 14 handles the basics with ease. The keyboard is wide and comfortable, with all the functionality you’d expect from a modern laptop. While most keys have sufficient space between them to avoid accidental key presses, the up and down arrows, in particular, maybe too close for some keys. Overall, the keyboard lacks positive feedback during use, but it’s touching enough that it’s not necessarily a deal-breaker.
And the speakers are found at the bottom of the laptop on both sides. They get the job done as long as you use them to watch YouTube videos or take calls. Otherwise, you’ll be disappointed with the subpar bass, which looks overwhelming when the volume is turned up. The touchpad, however, is thankfully spacious and responsive and can be easily locked with a double-tap in the top-left corner. Then for the price, the Xenia XPG 14 laptop brand sells for $1,099
